Ji Myong, the Chief Guide of the Small Forest Temple.
Ji Myong is the name given by Grand Master Seung Sahn in the traditional
manner to his disciple (original name Anthony Scionti) who has been a
student of martial-arts since 1970 under the authority of Master Infererra
and Grand Master Shimabuku, and is recognized by the All-Japan Empty-Handed
Way Association and then (1975) by Grand Master Seung Sahn, teaching the
Original Way of Shaolin, Anthony holds an M.S. in Counseling, is a certified
School Psychologist, and private counselor. He has led numerous workshops
and conferences in both private and public sectors in psychology, self-guidance
and meditation and self-healing training.
Joshua Wilson, the Head Priest-in-Training, and Head
Resident priest of the temple and as a priest, has been training full-time
in all aspects of the Way of Shaolin for five years. Josh holds a B.A.
in Religious Studies Wesleyan University ‘00, where he was awarded
the Trench Prize for Excellence in the Study of Religion. He is also a
special-education teacher who works with special needs children.
Scott Kessel is a Senior Level Priest-in-Training and
holds a B.A. in Studio Art and a M.A.L.S degree from Wesleyan University.
He is also a musician and visual artist, a certified art teacher, a husband
and a father.
Arun Ranganathan is a Priest-in-Training who also teaches academics and
music to children with special needs as well as performs, creates and
produces musical events.
Stephanie Reedy is a Priest-in-Training and the Temple
Herbalist. She is also a certified herbalist and an art teacher. Her specific
interest is Temple spiritual training as the foundation for her spiritual-herbalist
practice.
Jesse Allen is a resident Priest-in-Training who also
works with children with special needs. His teaching focus is bringing
this life-foundation to teens.
Sharisse Kanet, is a resident Priest-in-Training who
is a Ph.D student in philosophy, studying in New York.
